Junior 2 Is Complete
Hey Everyone,
We had a blast with our Junior 2 campers this week! This week we had a younger Junior camp with many 8 and 9 year old's, but they had a great week with all the activities and chapel times. We again had some pretty hot days, but our campers found time to spend in the water to cool off. We only had a few campers that needed to go home due to homesickness, but overall it was a great week for these boys and girls. They had a ton of fun with their skills and the wide games they got to play this week.
The Holy Spirit was working this week as we had Jason Leo, our Executive Director, speak to our campers during chapel times. Jay took the campers through the "I Am" statements about God through Scripture, like Jesus saying "I Am the bread of life or I am the way, the truth, and the life." The campers listened really well, and many had questions even during chapel times. He also shared some of his story through his cancer diagnosis and how God has been working through that. Pray for these young boys and girls as they go home, pray that the truths they just heard about God would resonate in their hearts. We love to share the Gospel with our campers and we pray one day they would choose to be followers of Jesus.
Please pray for our staff as well. We have just finished our third week of camp and this is typically when we see them feeling sick. Lots of our staff have come down with summer colds, pray that they would get the rest they need this weekend and their health would be restored for next week.
Next Week: Teen Camp
This Sunday we start our Teen Camp week! We have 124 campers registered that are ages 14-18. Teen camp schedule is very different from other weeks. We wake up a bit later and go to bed a bit later! The week is filled with different activities like a talent show, Hoedown and board games, a worship night, and the Stoney Teen Camp banquet. This is a fun week with the campers!
Our speakers for Teen camp is Phil Houston. Phil is the pastor at Park Avenue Bible Church in Melfort, SK. Phil was our Teen Camp speaker last summer and we are so excited to have him back again! We are excited to hear from both of them this week as they speak to our teens, challenging them in their walks of faith and presenting the Gospel to them. Pray for them both as they share each day in our chapel sessions; pray that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts of each person this week and that the Word of God would be spoken clearly.

Prayer Requests
Camp is a very busy place, and all our staff are working together as a community to serve God in sharing the Gospel to our campers. We can't do this on our own, we need God's help and guidance to achieve this great task He entrusted us with. Would you help us in praying for our staff, campers, and volunteers? Here are some prayer requests and praise items you can pray for:
- We are thankful for the many campers that are signed up for camp this summer! We do have room in each camp for more campers, please check the availability on our website.
- Pray for our cabin leaders and LIT's.
- Pray for our summer leadership team. Pray for Ella, our program director. Pray for her health and safety. Pray that she will get the rest she needs when she needs it, and that she will grow in her faith this summer. Pray for Jason & Pam Kellington our Senior Staff Supervisors. Pray for them as they lead the staff in discipleship over the summer.
- Pray for our campers. Pray that there would be no accidents, or sickness happen. Pray that they would come to know their Savior here at Stoney.
- Pray for Jay & Jen as they lead the team this summer.
- Pray for Tracy & Paddy Reed. Tracy is our Facility Manager and Paddy is the Kitchen Coordinator.
- Pray for Zoe Young. Zoe is the Administrative Assistant.
- Pray for Zara Young as our LIT Director/Leadership Staff.
- Pray for continued financial and prayer support for the camp. Praise God for the many people who do support Stoney in this way.
