Junior Hi One Finished
Hi Everyone,
It was an incredible week with our Junior Hi 1 campers, they had a blast as well as our cabin leaders! We did have some campers who were homesick during the week and went home, also some that were sick and had to go home as well. Pray for these campers, that even the seeds that were planted within their short stay would find good soil and be watered. Nate took the kids through Psalm 139 and great discussions were had in cabin devotions each night. Pray for these campers, as many seeds were planted and many questions were asked. We had lots of campers coming from tough situations, pray for them as they head back home. Pray that God would place people in their lives to help water the seeds that were sown and that they would have the support they need to continue growing in their faith.
This Week: Junior Two
We are into our first day of Junior 2 and we are excited to have these young campers here and we are anticipating a really fun week with them! We have 129 campers between the ages of 8-11 here this week. The schedule is the same and we have lots of fun filled activities each day!
This week we have Myra Schmidt as our speaker. Myra is no stranger to camp, as she has been here as a camper, cabin leader, secretary, and the Associate Director. Now she is stepping into the role as camp speaker, so please pray for her as she delivers the Gospel to our campers each day in the chapel sessions. Each chapel time, she is sharing the Gospel by getting the campers to memorize scripture. We are excited to see how God will work through her and the cabin devotions with the cabin leaders!
Our volunteers this week are: Yvonne Fontaine & Patty Kidd - cooks; Jason Parkvold - nurse; Cassie Jones - program helper; Jordan Seipp - cabin leader.
Our LIT's this week are: Isabelle Roberts, Cadence Martens, Abby Stead, Anna Stead, Naomi Branscombe, Bella Healey, Keira Little, Elias Kellington, Samuel Maxwell.
Prayer Requests
Camp is a very busy place, and all our staff are working together as a community to serve God in sharing the Gospel to our campers. We can't do this on our own, we need God's help and guidance to achieve this great task He entrusted us with. Would you help us in praying for our staff, campers, and volunteers? Here are some prayer requests and praise items you can pray for:
- We are thankful for the many registrations that are coming in, we are over 850 campers so far for the summer! Our Teen camp & Squirt camp has room for campers, so pray for those weeks of camp to fill up!
- Pray for our cabin leaders and LIT's. Pray for their health and safety throughout the summer. Pray that God would give them the wisdom and patience for their campers many questions, knowledge to answer those questions, and the love to show to these campers.
- Pray for our summer leadership team. Pray for Emma, our program director. Pray for her health and safety. Pray that she will get the rest she needs when she needs it, and that she will grow in her faith this summer.
- Pray for our campers. Pray that there would be no accidents, or sickness happen. Pray that they would come to know their Savior here at Stoney.
- Pray for Jay & Jen as they lead the team this summer.
- Pray for Tracy & Paddy Reed. Tracy is our Facility Manager and Paddy is the Kitchen Coordinator.
- Pray for Jesse & Stephanie Alsbach. Jesse is our Associate Director and Stephanie is the Administrative Assistant.
- Pray for Damian & Emily Obando Martinez as our LIT Directors, and Jason & Pam Kellington as our Senior Staff Supervisors.
- Pray for continued financial and prayer support for the camp. Praise God for the many people who do support Stoney in this way.
