Junior Hi One Completed!
Hi Everyone,
What a great week we had with our Junior Two campers! The campers had so much fun, enjoying the nice weather and cooler temperatures in the beginning of the week. Thank you so much for praying for this week of camp. We did have a few campers leave during the week due to homesickness, please continue to hold our campers in prayer and pray against homesickness. We saw the Holy Spirit work in the hearts of these campers, with 35 of them committing their lives to following Jesus and 12 campers recommitted their lives as well! Praise God for these new believers in Christ!
Marty did an amazing job speaking in chapel and sharing the Gospel. He shared the Gospel each chapel session, sharing with the campers how God loves them. Please be praying for these campers as they go to their homes, pray that God would place people in their lives to encourage them in their walk with Jesus, and that the seeds that were planted would continue to grow.
Junior Two Is Under Way!
Sunday, July 25th was the start of our next week of camp which is Junior Hi 2. We have 88 campers ages 12-14 registered for camp. The schedule will look pretty much the same this week, campers will get to enjoy three skills, free time/tuck, wide games, chapel and of course the great food!

Our speaker this week is Kaitlin Giddings. This is Kaitlin's first time speaking at Stoney, but she is no stranger to our camp. Kaitlin grew up coming to Stoney and has been part of our staff team for many years as a cabin leader and the Program Director. Kaitlin is currently working at Briercrest College and Seminary, where part of her job is to organize and run their youth event called Youth Quake (YQ). Kaitlin is sharing the Gospel by digging into the Word of God and seeing how only He can answer our "Why" questions. Please pray for Kaitlin as she seeks God's leading and speaks His words to the campers this week.
Corn Maze Family Days
We are planning to have our Corn Maze Family Days this year! Please stay tuned for more information about these days. We are hoping to have all the details for you by the end of next week, so you can plan! Typically we hold these days in September on Sundays.
We missed seeing you all last summer for the Corn Maze, we hope to see you this year!
Prayer Requests
There are several general but HUGE prayer requests that we have for the whole summer:
- Praise for the campers who made first time commitments! Pray for them that they would have opportunity to learn how to grow as they go home.
- Health and safety of the campers and staff. Pray that none of our campers would have problems with homesickness.
- Pray for rain, for our crops and to help put out the fires.
- We still have room for more campers. Pray that God would fill the camp and we would have more opportunities to share the Gospel. We have room in our Work Crew Session 3, and Teen Camp. There are spots also available in Junior 3 and Squirt camp.
- Pray that God would work in our staff's lives as they work with the campers, that they would rely on God for everything they need especially as the weeks go on and they get tired. Pray that they would get the rest that they need each weekend.
